I’ve been a self-employed graphic designer since 2005.
I studied at the Leeds School of Contemporary Art & Graphic Design, part of Leeds Metropolitan University, and graduated in 2004 after completing a two-year Masters degree in Graphic Arts & Design. I also studied there for my BA (Hons) degree in the same subject from 1999–2002.
I moved to London in October 2004 and began work at Greenwich Theatre where I became their part-time Marketing Officer whilst also working front of house at the box office. At this time, I designed the programme of the first 24 Hour Plays: Old Vic New Voices in 2005 after a recommendation by James Blackman who was one of the emerging producers on the project that year.
The Director of Old Vic New Voices, Steve Winter, invited me take on further work for their schools education programme. This quickly developed to them becoming my main client and with their support I was able to become fully self employed in early 2007.
Specialising in design for the arts, education and charity sectors, clients include Old Vic New Voices and The Old Vic, the Bush Theatre and Bush Green, the Centre for Skills Development, Greenwich Theatre, Nabokov theatre company, ThreeWeeks, Unlimited Media, Lyric Hammersmith, YoungMinds, Pride London as well as independent small businesses and entrepreneurs.
I’m always keen to discuss new projects. Please email me regarding any further information, commissions or collaborations.
